Just when you think the buzz about Twitter has peaked, yet another wave comes rushing in.

The latest development to excite the micro-blogging masses is the introduction of Twitter Lists, which let you create lists of people to follow based on your interests. If, for example, you’re into cars or social media or organic food, there’s are lots of lists for that.

In fact, more than 6.5 million lists have been created since Twitter officially unveiled Twitter Lists last week. And if you’re looking for specific lists, there’s even a new service called Listorious to “discover the best Twitter Lists”.

But, wait, there’s more….

To accompany Twitter Lists, Twitter has also introduced a widget that can be placed on blogs to display a specific list.

But there’s even more….

Another story capturing a lot of attention is a mobile device that’s exclusively used for Twitter. Called the TwitterPeek, it’s a device that can be purchased for $99 (plus a $7.95/month access fee), or a $199 with life-time service.

“I’m sure it’s going to get some attention because Peek is so controversial,” Amol Sarva, whose company, Peek Inc. makes the TwitterPeek, told the Wall St. Journal’s Venture Capital Dispatch blog. “People don’t understand there’s a market for an affordable mobile email device and they don’t understand this service is valuable and useful.”

So, there you go – all the Twitter news you need to know…until there’s more Twitter news.
